APRIL

At the beginning of the year a friend of ours, Renee, was baptized. It was a privilege and a blessing to attend some of the missionary discussions with her. I was amazed with how she studied & asked all the right questions. The spirit was truly guiding her.

After the freezing cold weather passed we were able to go outdoors. We made a delicious meal and made a picnic out of it on the front lawns of our apartment complex. It was a beautiful sunny day but still chilly in the shade. Joseph is a "hottie" :) and thought it was too hot to put the blanket in the sun so we settled for half in the shade & half in the sun. It was a beautiful day!



MAY

Graduation Day!!! My parents, grandparents, brother & mother-in-law came to my graduation. I graduated with my bachelor of science degree in dental hygiene. All the hard work paid off and I graduated cum laude and at the top 7% of seniors so I was accepted into an organization called phi kappa phi. My parents came down the week before to celebrate with the dental hygiene class. We had a luncheon at a Resort on the East side of Flagstaff. It was delicious. There was a lot of picture taking and they handed out rewards at the end.

A few days before graduation we decorated our graduation caps as a class at the South Family housing. The picture below shows my cap and Brittany's cap. After the ceremony I found my family waiting outside and we took more pictures, there were lots of hugs & Joseph gave me roses.

We concluded the occasion by having lunch with Bridgette's family, Brittany's family & my family. We ate delicious shish-kabobs & different kinds of salads.
